admittedly, i have a strange fascination with anything related to "kris aquino" the brand rather than the person. i am sure you'll indulge me my daily dose of nonsense because "kris" is nothing more than open mouth, drop jaw flabbergasted reaction to nonsense.
i am fascinated with "kris" although i am not sure i like kris. yup, that's some sort of metaphysical chuva-cho-choo statement. and i disagree with the whole lot of people that associate kris as noy (i voted or him) and noy as kris. please, they're like two ends of a bipolar personality.
i rarely scan the national news, because let's admit it - Cebu IS the NATION (at least in my eyes). this city has become a classic example of how it should operate almost exclusively from the national government. just look at the US of A, New Yorkers think they ARE the whole damned PLANET.
it's an entirely different story when i go online.
the moment i log on to yahoo messenger a smorgasboard of local news presented as snippets are laid out before me. i take time to carefully select news items like picking fruits from the grocery. it has to be the freshest, juiciest bit of news. it is not surprising though that a lot of the news has a two degree seperation from "kris".
everyone has something to say about "kris" from kibitzers, politicians, columnists, priests, ladies who lunch, ladies who want to be on the list of ladies who lunch, sawsawero and sawsawera all (term borrowed from face to face).
"kris" wears her title well, "queen of all media" and possibly dethroned madam auring as "queen of all mediums" as the dead are presumed to be turning in their graves because of the many, uhmmm, escapades of "kris".
then again, it is better to be called the "queen of all media" rather than "queen of darkness" that has been bestowed on a prominent local politician.
forget "kris", you think she's scandalous? wait until you hear about the local news.
