Cutural Tour of Southern Cebu

From Cebu City you can drive or take a bus going all the way South and drop by historic old towns with equally old churches and structures. Too bad that these buildings are not being maintained as they can be featured in an amazing cultural tour of the island.

Culturally, it is also the seat of the Catholic faith in the Philippines (thus explaining the numerous old churches dotting the seaside towns dating as ancient as early 1500s) as the location where Magellan landed to spread the religion and was dutifully filleted by Lapu lapu.
How ironic, the iconic Filipino hero is named after a fish that's being filleted and gutted in Chinese restaurants. Yummy!

Alcoy - Old Seminary where religious families were bred and born, courtesy of the horny friars. Oh, I can just feel it... the hate mails coming from the fanatical religious. By the way, I do come from a religious family. My great great grandfather was a friar.
