Complete Cycle

The last entry I made was done around January of 2005, perhaps it is apt to close off the year with a Christmas Entry... Technically, it's 24th Dec 2005 the eve before Christmas. This year is very interesting to say the very least. For one, I just knew about long lost relatives based in Cebu, Philippines where I'm currently assigned. Second, I met the family at the death of my uncle Tito Moring. The thought is a bit morbid, but it's nice to touch base with Family even when am losing one of them. It rather brings home a painful thought about my own mother who was diagnosed with Cancer September this year. Pancreatic Cancer, one of the most painful ones. She's had to endure a lot of woes, and this is another that she has to bear - payment for the sins of the family. Mom's reacting pretty well to the treatment and hopefully, the CT Scan next year will indicate that the tumor has not grown at all. If that's the case, my sister's planning to take her back to the ...

Off to new Adventures

It was a sign, me travelling on the 31st of December 2004. Local superstition held that whatever you are doing during New Year's eve is a portent of your incoming year. If that's the case then I'd be jetsetting or moving all over the place this year. Not that I hate the idea, then again... So far I've quit my job 1st Jan 2005, moved out of my house 7th Jan 2005, flew out of Sri Lanka to Malaysia 11th Feb, celebrated Cong Xi Fa Chai (Chinese New Year) in an absurdly desserted Kuala Lumpur, checked in checked out of my hotel on the 12th, moved to a friend's place and went bar hopping on the same night, had breakfast, lunch and dinner in different restaurants in one day on the 13th, went to Church where people sell all kinds of services, wares and what have you right at the gate. I of course concluded my whirlwind of a tour with a purely platonic date with my girl-friend on the 14th in Petronas Tower (magnificent view of the towers at night!). Sights visited: Merdeka S...

A Higher Being (x)

When Atheists claim there is no God, they validate the existence of God. For us to deny God, we first need to acknowledge that God exists. I pity the people who claim that God does not exist. In times when trials are great that our simple humanity can not comprehend the tribulations we face in life, I rest assured in the thought that I can turn to God and give up my pain. I live in His Grace knowing that I will always have someone who will stand by me when things are not in their best. He once asked, if I did not give you all you asked of Me, would my Grace be enough? Grace in life that comes with the understanding that there are other rewards than those that we can count and buy in life. When you have no one to turn to at times of great sorrow, you only have only yourself to ask - I am in control of my destiny, what have I gotten myself into? Be careful who you ask, it just might be the Devil masquerading as your thoughts. Thank you Lord for this pain, it reminds me I am merely human....

(Im)Perfect Days

If God had Intended Today to be Perfect, He Wouldn't Have Made Tomorrow. - Anonymous Very apt for days that are going bad, or days that are not going the way you planned. Nevertheless, we should always remember, that a tomorrow is there to start a new day and an opportunity to make it perfect. What I've learned is that every day is a choice we make. We should all expect a perfect day, and if things fall short we would still have a good day. If we are going through the day expecting the worst, we fall into our own self-fulfilling prophesies.... Human psychology teaches us that people reflect us. Simply meant, what we put to the world is reflected back at us by those we touch during the course of the day. Reflection and Projection is a concept that needs to be understood by each individual. We project how we want people to react to us, and quite often people reflect or mimic our actions. Learn to smile, and I assure you that you will not go through a day without som...

Red Hot!

I just officially turned Red Hat... actually, am using Fedora Core 2 for my laptop and am finding it very addictive.... the downloads though is really starting to annoy me as it is taking a freaking long time to download. Nevertheless, i think it will be staying with me for a while... a long while.

A Quickie

I wish I had, but it has been a long dry spell. Nevertheless, don't expect a juicy tale about me-sexcapades. This is just a quick note that I am currently doing a training right now. Interesting. Very Interesting.

End of The Week - El Fin de Semana

It is 2:20AM and am getting ready to pack my laptop, some reading material that needs to be done over the weekend and I realize I am taking home some more work. Not that I am particularly happy about it but then again, what needs to be done... Le mantendré fijado todo en qué sucede durante el fin de semana. Necesito ahora dormir. Véale la semana próxima.
