this is not the first or the last time that the Church is meddling in politics. categorically, i agree with the recommendation for a no-pardon for the coup plotters - let them burn in the earthly hell of bilibid. the only thing i find distastefully sick is that the Church recommended a no-pardon situation (despite the basic tenets of the faith!) for these rogues whereas they literally cast their lots with the pardon of Erap. the coup plotters, no matter how twisted their means, were fighting for a cause they believed in. if remorse and forgiveness is a measure, they deserve the pardon more than Erap.
