My Esfektakular Life

I totally blame my new Asus Transformer tablet.  i haven't been writing (writing with effort, not just to get something in my blog) seriously for the past few months and as a result i have a esfektakular (this is another story,  a person i know, and many of you probably don't know,  refuses to pronounce "spectacular" properly) pile of pictures and stories that make up my fabulous life. I have been practically travelling every weekend, throw in a trip to Vietnam, Hong Kong and Macau, mixed in with local Cebu travel to Camotes, Tabogon, Danao and Barili. I also managed to insert some travel time to Bacolod where i rediscovered the beauty of Bago City's waterfalls. Camotes was specially fun as i spent a weekend exploring spooky caves, gorgeous beaches and lakes with my very dear friends. Last weekend alone I was in Manila to visit family and see friends, had a mega humongous burger in the Sunday Legazpi Weekend Market, oblivious to the raving of ...

intramuros, 2003 i was going through my old files and realized that i never posted some of these photos i took of intramuros, the walled city of Manila. decided to do some re-work on the shots and converted some to black and white.

I'm Living In An Airplane

there's nothing grammatically wrong with that statement. for the past couple of months I have literally gotten on a plane approximately 4 times. the mactan international and ninoy aquino terminal 3 airports are literally my second home as i find myself waiting for hours to get on a plane. on a really bad day, delays can cause me to spend a minimum of three hours in an airport. it's usually the manila-cebu leg that gets delayed and it's not as fun considering that there's free wifi in mactan international. in any case, i snapped a picture of myself (18th April 2009) on one of those horizontal escalators. ideal for sleepy-tired peeps like me who tried to squeeze every conceivable meeting and activity while on a business trip. am i complaining? far from it.

The Cat's Out of the Bag!

Kitty Go, a self proclaimed Brian Gorrell fan, is at it again. this time her claws are out and sharpened on snotty snob society wannabees. it's rare that i go home early enough to catch the local news but i caught her interview on ABS-CBN where she lets loose a few, well, not so few, witty quotable quotes that lambasted the so called card carrying NOCDs ("Not Our Class, Darling") subjects of THE scandalous blog that's still the subject of oh so many lunches. She earned the ire of Manila High Society when she came out with two books ("Chic Hits the Fan: Celebrity and Fashion Confessions of a Former Magazine Editor" and "Chic Happens: An Explosive Celebrity and Fashion Insider Account.") that was a thinly veiled reference to the illusion of a (glamorous) lifestyle that she herself was born into but curiously unaffected and grounded. Kitty Go is her own style and the brands she wears are simply commodities and not conversation pieces, she is that chic...
